PepsiCo Takes Good Warrior From Beef Sticks Into Protein Bars

PepsiCo's Good Warrior brand adds protein bars with 15 grams of protein and 7 grams of sugar, made without artificial flavors or preservatives.

PepsiCo is moving deeper into protein. Its Good Warrior brand, which launched with beef sticks in March, now has protein bars.

TLDR

  • Each bar has 15 grams of protein and 7 grams of sugar, and is a good source of fiber.
  • They are made without artificial flavors or preservatives.
  • Marshmallow bars and brownie crisps are at select U.S. retailers now.
  • A cookies and cream “cremewich” follows in early 2027.

The Bars

The line comes in sweet cocoa marshmallow, cookie dough brownie crisp and cookies and cream cremewich, Food Business News reported. Each bar has 15 grams of protein and 7 grams of sugar, is a good source of fiber, and is made without artificial flavors or preservatives.

What PepsiCo Says

“Consumers are looking for more from their snacks today,” said Hernán Tantardini, chief marketing officer of PepsiCo Foods U.S., adding that “great taste remains non-negotiable.” He called the bars “a great example of how we’re evolving our portfolio.”

Why It Matters

Earlier this month, PepsiCo cut its profit outlook as North American snacks stalled. Protein is one of the few growth stories in the snack aisle, and one of the world’s largest snack makers is building a protein brand from scratch instead of only adding protein to chips. Indulgent formats like marshmallow and brownie show where protein is heading: toward treats.
