GNT Puts Creatine in Potato Chips, Colored With Plants, for SupplySide Global
GNT will show creatine-infused chip concepts colored with EXBERRY plant-based colors at SupplySide Global in Las Vegas, October 28 to 30.
Creatine is leaving the tub and landing on the chip. Color supplier GNT will show two creatine-infused snack concepts at SupplySide Global, colored entirely with its EXBERRY plant-based colors.
TLDR
- GNT is pairing creatine with potato chip seasonings.
- EXBERRY colors deliver red-orange and purple chips.
- Each chip concept comes with a matching colored dip.
- The show runs October 28 to 30 in Las Vegas.
- GNT is at booth 2937.
Two Concepts, Four Colors
The first concept is inspired by blue cheese. Red-orange, hot-wing-seasoned potato chips sit beside a smooth blue dip. The dip is made with whipped cottage cheese and sharp Vermont cheddar.
The second concept centers on charred allium. Wavy potato chips carry a purple seasoning inspired by chive blossoms. They pair with a savory green dip of charred scallions, caramelized onions, roasted garlic and fresh chives.
Supplements Move Into Snacks
“We’re seeing growing interest in bringing functional ingredients into familiar foods and snacks rather than just traditional supplement formats,” said Marty Gil, key account manager at GNT.
According to GNT, the concepts show how color can reinforce flavor cues and create visual contrast. That matters in crowded functional categories, where a product has seconds to stand out on shelf.
Why It Matters
Functional snacks are a growth lane, and brands are reformulating away from synthetic dyes at the same time. Bright blues and purples are among the hardest shades to deliver naturally. Suppliers that can show them working in a savory, seasoned format give product developers a head start.
