GNT Gets ISO-Verified Carbon Footprints for EXBERRY Natural Colors

TÜV SÜD has verified GNT's product carbon footprint method for EXBERRY colors against ISO 14067, giving brands audited data for reporting.

Natural colors now come with audited carbon numbers. GNT has had its product carbon footprint method for EXBERRY colors independently verified to an international standard.

TLDR

  • TÜV SÜD verified GNT’s carbon footprint method against ISO 14067.
  • It covers emissions from farm to factory gate.
  • GNT is among the first color makers worldwide to do this.
  • Brands get verified data for their own sustainability reporting.

What Was Verified

Testing body TÜV SÜD confirmed that GNT’s product carbon footprint methodology aligns with ISO 14067. The assessment is “cradle-to-gate.” It measures greenhouse gas emissions from raw material cultivation and harvesting through processing and production, up to the factory gate.

GNT says it is one of the first food color manufacturers worldwide to have its methodology verified this way.

What GNT Says

“GNT is committed to the highest sustainability standards, and transparency and trust are a vital part of that,” said Petra Thiele, managing director at GNT Group.

“We’ve made it our mission to produce plant-based ingredients that drive a healthier future for people and planet,” said Akshat Rawat, senior sustainability specialist.

Why It Matters

Brands switching from synthetic dyes now weigh more than color and cost. Scope 3 reporting asks for supplier emissions data. Verified figures replace estimates, which makes natural colors easier to defend in a sustainability report.
