Keurig Dr Pepper Taps Kimberly-Clark’s Russ Torres to Lead Global Coffee Co.

Russ Torres, president and COO of Kimberly-Clark, will lead Keurig Dr Pepper's coffee business ahead of its planned spinoff in early 2027.

Keurig Dr Pepper has picked the leader for its coffee spinoff. Russ Torres, president and chief operating officer of Kimberly-Clark, will run Global Coffee Co.

Who Is Russ Torres

Torres is currently president and chief operating officer of Kimberly-Clark, where he previously served as group president of North America. He has held senior roles at Newell Brands, Bain & Company and Mondelēz International.

“Russ is a proven leader with extensive experience building consumer brands, guiding global organizations through complex change, and delivering consistent results,” said Pamela Patsley, chair of the Keurig Dr Pepper board.

The Business He Will Run

Torres will lead Keurig Dr Pepper’s coffee operating unit ahead of the planned separation. Global Coffee Co. is expected to generate about $16 billion in annual revenue. Its brands include Keurig, Jacobs, Peet’s, L’OR and Green Mountain Coffee Roasters.

Why It Matters

A standalone coffee company of this size will set its own innovation agenda, from pods to ready-to-drink. Torres brings a household and personal care playbook to one of the biggest brand portfolios in coffee.
