For over 6 million Americans, the peanut isn’t a snack. It’s a deadly lurker, a potential trip to the emergency room hiding at a bake sale, inside an airplane, or behind a poorly marked menu.
It has plagued consumers, manufacturers, and restaurant owners for decades. But Bryant Williams, founder & CEO of CoreWellness Company, may have cracked the peanut protein code, a development that could bring some relief to EpiPen owners everywhere.
As the creator of Hardcore Peanut Butter, Williams isn’t just selling consumer packaged goods; he’s retooling what defines the peanut allergy and making it less…lethal.
In a landmark partnership with AgriNetica (a division of BetterSeeds) Williams has set out to bring the world’s first allergen-less peanut to market under a bold new brand: Nurtured Nuts.

The Science Behind the Allergen-Free Peanut
The technology behind it is no small feat. Using 2nd-generation CRISPR gene editing, AgriNetica has engineered a peanut that dramatically reduces allergens while keeping everything people love: the taste, the nutrition, and the versatility.
And it’s non-GMO to boot.
How? BetterSeeds’ technology doesn’t modify the peanut’s genetics; it silences the genes that are already in the plant’s own genome—without inserting foreign genetic material. Essentially switching something off rather than adding something new. Like seedless grapes or decaf coffee.
But Williams cautioned, “The idea here isn’t to cure the peanut allergy.” (He’ll leave that up to the medical field.) Instead, it’s “to bring an allergen-free peanut to the market.”
If all goes well, Nurtured Nuts will have their first harvest this September, which will then be rigorously tested to gauge just how “less allergic” these peanuts might be. “But any step in that direction is a win for us,” he added.
What’s Next for Nurtured Nuts?
Agreed.
Barring any FDA hold-up, Nurtured Nuts could hit shelves as soon as next year, paving the way for allergen-safe peanut butter, protein bars, snacks, and more. For parents who’ve spent years scanning ingredient labels in a cold sweat, that’s not just a product launch. It’s a lifeline.
